Our Top 5 Tips for Being More Productive When Working from Home!

Check out our top 5 tips!

1. Get Dressed for the Day

Getting ready for the workday, whether you are working from home or not, greatly improves your productivity level. You do not have to wear dress pants and a fancy top, but you should jump into something that you are comfortable in and that makes you feel good. Even throwing on a bit of make-up and brushing your hair will do a lot for your at-home work ethic.

2. Establish a Routine

When working from home, it’s easy to go day-by-day without a plan. Sometimes you want to sleep in, go shopping, meet someone for lunch or just watch TV, but that won't help you move forward in your business. Set a regular wake up time, where you get ready for the day, have some breakfast and head to your workspace for the day. Work in some time to eat lunch, write out your daily tasks and take meetings while out on a walk. Do what you need to that will help keep you motivated throughout the day.

3. Create a Dedicated Workspace

Work from Home

This is very important when working from home. It’s easy to just sit down at your kitchen table and work for the entire day, but it is not where you will be the most productive. Set up a location in your home where you go just for work each day. This will make you way more productive than working in a random place in your home.

4. Become Part of a Community

After starting this business, we realized how vital it is to build a community of like-minded people around us. It can be lonely when you are working from home, so having people who share the same experiences, motivation and drive helps to keep pushing you and your business forward.

5. Take Breaks

When in an office setting, it’s easy to get up and go grab a coffee or grab a snack from the vending machine. When working at home, we tend to get caught up in our work because we are comfortable in our environment. Don't use your breaks to check personal social media; use breaks to get lunch, take a walk, grab a coffee or maybe start your dinner. This will give your mind a small break and help give you a boost when you sit back down at your computer.
